About Dr. Horwood

Geneviève is the AAGL fellow for the 2022-2024 academic programme. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2016. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa in 2021 during which she attended the University of Oxford to obtain an MSc. in Global Health and Epidemiology.

Geneviève is passionate about improving women’s health through patient advocacy, surgical education and training, and population-based clinical research. Her work has been published in the British Medical Journal and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Canada.

During her time off, you may find her on a football pitch, hiking a mountain or completing the New York Times crossword.
